A Gorgeous June Wedding

Ceremony/Reception - The Atrium

Caitlin and Spencer's wedding was just breathtaking!

We were in LOVE with the color combo of their wedding! For the bridal bouquet, Caitlin had a handheld with stems that had an organic and messy feel. It was full of mum, dahlia, peonies, ranunculus, freesia, waxflower, roses, and a mix of greens in the colors of ivory, cream, mustard yellow, and golden yellow. It was all tied together with gorgeous ribbon. The mismatched mustard bridesmaids dresses were to die for, and their bouquets, similar to Caitlin's, complimented them perfectly! For Spencer and his groomsmen, their boutonnieres all had a mix of greens wrapped in twine. Simple, but they tied the bridal party together!

Both their ceremony and reception took place at The Atrium in Shorewood. At their reception, they had backdrop flowers of greens as well as stunning trio cylinder candles that lined the aisle to bring the whole space together. After they said their "I do's" surrounded by many family and friends, the bridal party took time to take pictures on the boardwalk, which turned out amazing! They then continued their day on to the reception. The couple decided to reuse the ceremony greens and candles to decorate the tables. The newlyweds were a picture of pure happiness as the night was filled with much love, laughter, and music.

We were so happy to have been part of this couple's special day! Congrats to Caitlin and Spencer, here's to many years full of love and memories!

Jenna + Jerry = Love at First Sight

A Stunning June Wedding

Jenna and Jerry's wedding was so much fun!

Jenna's bridal bouquet was timeless. Her bouquet was a handheld with stems and some texture that was wrapped with love knots. It included garden roses, mother of pearl roses, ranunculus, lisianthus, stock, and seeded eucalyptus in the colors of ivory and sandy. The bridesmaids had bouquets like Jenna's but smaller and wrapped in forest green. For Jerry, his boutonniere included ivory ranunculus and spray rose with seeded eucalyptus. All the groomsmen had one spray rose with greens. At the reception, we dressed the tables with loose greens and candles to tie the day together seamlessly.

While the forecast called for rain, there was not a single drop! The couple's ceremony took place at the Allen Centennial Gardens on the UW Madison campus. They were surrounded by many friends and family as they tied the knot in the outdoor gardens. The couple's day continued on to their reception at Memorial Union on Lake Mendota. There, they took adorable couple photos on the dock and celebrated being Mr and Mrs with much music, dancing, and love flowing throughout the night.

We were so happy to have been part of this couple's special day! Congraulations to Jenna and Jerry, here's to many years of love and memories!

Hilton Ballroom Wedding

Sarah + Dustin = Meant to Be!

An Amazing April Wedding

Sarah and Dustin's wedding was one for the books!

For the bridal bouquet, Sarah chose a handheld with stems and some texture with a spill drop shape. It included wax flowers, heather, tulips, lizzy, ranunculus, and roses in the colors of peach, mauve, lavender, green, and deep wine/purple. The bridesmaids had bouquet's similar to Sarah's, but were more rounded. Dustin's boutonniere included two peach spray roses with peach ranunculus, heather, and wax flower. The groomsmen had boutonnieres with two spray roses, heather, wax flower, and greens.

The couple's ceremony took place at Lumen Christi Church in Mequon, where they were surrounded by many friends and family to say their "I do's". After, the wedding party took a trip downtown to the lakefront for a gorgeous shoot. They then continued on to the reception, held at the Hilton Ballroom in Downtown Milwaukee. There, the music, dancing, and love flowed throughout the night.

We were so happy to have been part of this couple's special day. Congrats to Sarah and Dustin, we wish you many years of memories and love!

Amber + Mike = Meant to Be!

A Flawless February Wedding

Photographer: Erika Lee Photgraphy
Florist: Bank of Flowers
Ceremony/Reception: Delafield Hotel

Spring may be here, but we are still not over Amber and Mike's winter wedding!

For Amber's bouquet, she chose a handheld with stems and some texture that included anemone, ranunculus, thistle, roses, brunia berry, and broadleaf dusty miller in ivory, blush, nude, grey, and blue. For Mike's boutonniere, he chose an arrangement of white ranunculus, grey brunia berries,  and dusty miller accented with thistle. They included flowers on their alter fireplace as well as candles and petals down the isle to tie the whole ceremony together.

The couple said their "I do's" surrounded by many friends and family who could not help but tear up at the sight of the stunning duo. The day then continued on to their reception, where much love, laughter, music, and dancing flowed throughout the evening. It was evident that Amber and Mike were meant to be.

We were so honored to have been part of their special day. Congratulations Amber and Mike! Here's to many years of love and happiness!

Washington County Wedding Show

A big "Thank You" to everyone who came out to the Washington County Fair Park annual wedding show on Sunday, January 31st.  This show is just so much fun for me to participate in because the vendors and attendees are so down-to-earth and friendly.  They gave us wonderful remarks and feedback on our display and wedding designs.

Our booth was filled with gorgeous floral designs and our bridal bouquets were all featured in the fashion show put on by Amelishan Bridal.  It's so much fun to see what colors are trending this season in bridal gowns and attire.

In order to give brides a better way of budgeting for their special day, Bank of Memories & Flowers recommends calling to set up a consultation and meeting with the owner Melissa in our Menomonee Falls location, or at our Pewaukee location, Luan the manager.  You might also want to check out our wonderful website, Pinterest, and Facebook pages for many new ideas that we post everyday!

From the moment you walk down the aisle with a beautiful floral bouquet in hand, to the trendy flower centerpieces on your tables, our flowers will be the finishing touch to your perfect dream wedding!

A Winter Wedding Wonderland

Jaclyn and Jason

Month: December
Ceremony and Reception: Rotunda, Waukesha
Florist: Bank of Memories & Flowers
Photographer: Cream City Weddings

With the spirit of Christmas around them, Jaclyn and Jason said their I Do's on December 12th.  The smell of fresh pine was in the air on this perfect winter wonderland day.

The groom's daughter was beaming with excitement.  She personally wrote her chalkboard sign that she carried down the aisle, announcing the arrival of the bride.

The couple incorporated winter details like a picture kissing booth under the mistletoe, wooden mugs to do their toasts, and holiday cheer around every corner.

The blinged out bouquets had deep red roses, fresh cedar, gray brunia, cream roses, red ranunculus, seeded eucalyptus, scarlet berries and angle hair twigs. Sparkling rhinestones where added to some of the roses and the handle was covered with a band of rhinestones.

Thank you Jaclyn and Jason for letting Bank of Memories & Flowers be a part of your special day.

Robbyn and Bill and Baseball

Month: July
Flowers: Bank of Memories & Flowers Pewaukee
Robbyn and Bill met playing softball and love the Milwaukee Brewers, so it was easy to understand their color scheme and their venue. Kelly's Bleachers III is home to not 1 but 2 baseball fields and the couple planned on marrying on one of them (before the hot weather changed that idea).

Robbyn chose a mix of Brewers colors for her bouquets.  Yellow ranunculus , pincushion protea and craspedia were featured in her bouquet, surrounded by white lisianthus and Queen Anne's Lace as well as light blue delphinium and blue berries.  Her bridesmaid and her flower girl, the couples daughter, carried matching bouquets.

The gentlemen all wore yellow ranunculus boutonnieres with blue berries.  The mothers of the couple wore white pearl band corsages with white and yellow ranunculas with blue berries to accent.

Thank you, Robbyn and Bill, for allowing us to be a part of your special day!

The Week in "Re-Bloom"

The weekend has arrived! This week proved to be full of excitement, laughter and a healthy bit of stress -- with a golf outing, multiple weddings, and some fun shop cleaning/rearranging, the days flew by! Here are some photos from the past week at Bank of Memories & Flowers:

We were delighted to be asked to once again donate the centerpieces for the Menomonee Falls Chamber Golf Outing, held every year in August at North Hills Country Club. The centerpieces consisted of a lively green garden hydrangea set among submerged golf balls. A monarch adorned each hydrangea, sitting on atop a loop of bear grass.

Ali and Brandon had a beautiful day for a wedding last Saturday. Their ceremony took place on the rooftop of the Silver Spring Country Club and was absolutely gorgeous! Their flowers consisted of an amazingly bold blend of colors and textures, including purple stock, vibrant gladiolus, viking mums, and our favorite element: yellow billy balls!

Our next beautiful bride on Saturday had a completely different feel to her bouquets but just as gorgeous! Lauren and Wil were wed at Calvary Lutheran Church in Thiensville with a reception following at the River Club of Mequon. The bouquets for this wedding were full of texture with medium and hot pinks, fuchsia, and antique ivories. The flowers consisted of ranunculus, roses, lisianthus and dusty miller.

Michelle and Anthony also said their vows on Saturday at Cedar Beach Inn in Belgium. The bouquets had a lovely soft textured feel with a brilliant blend of modern and vintage elements. The green hydrangeas added structure and incredible pops of texture, while the white dendrobium orchids added a sleekly chic touch. Perhaps our personal favorite of the bouquet were the astounding garden roses which consisted of layer upon layer of ruffled orangey-pink petals!

While our customers were busy getting married, hosting showers and picking up flowers on a whim for a loved one, we kept busy inside doing some re-arranging! It's always a joy to give the shop a new feel (and a good cleaning!) by re-doing our displays and bringing in some new seasonal giftware. We made use of our fun and eye-catching telephone booth and played off the pops of red.

Attempting to hang on to summer as long as we possibly can, we decided to work out magnificent dish gardens and other pops of green color into the front displays -- what a wonderful lively greeting to meet your eye when first walking through our shop door!

And as we worked our tails off preparing for weddings, designing arrangements, and cleaning the shop, Chloe lightly twitched hers while taking in the view from her favorite shop window. She loves to watch the bumblebees as they buzz from one flower to the next in our window boxes. She's our ever-present reminder to take life easy and make some time to breathe!

As you can see, we've been busy! We'd love to see you stop in the shop to see our new displays for yourself  -- there is truly never a dull moment around here! Hope the weekend is treating you well and that you find some time to watch the bumblebees go to work!
